1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, downloading, or using the WashEra mobile application or any related services provided by WashEra Inc. ("WashEra," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and WashEra. If you do not agree to all of these terms, you must not access or use the service. Your continued use of WashEra after any modifications to these terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
2. Service Description
WashEra provides an on-demand professional laundry service through smart locker stations and a mobile application. Customers drop off their laundry using QR-based identification at smart lockers installed in participating apartment buildings and residential communities. Our staff collects items from the lockers and transports them to a professional cleaning facility, where garments are tracked through every processing stage — wash, dry, and fold. Customers receive real-time notifications as their order progresses, and are alerted when items are ready for pickup at the same locker station.
Service availability may vary by location and is subject to the operating hours and capacity of participating locker stations. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time with reasonable notice.
3. User Accounts
To use WashEra, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete, and current information during the registration process. You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use our service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account, you must notify us immediately at hello@washeraapp.com. WashEra will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized access to your account that results from your failure to safeguard your credentials.
4. Orders & Payments
All pricing for WashEra's laundry services is displayed in the app before you confirm an order. By placing an order, you agree to pay the total amount shown, including any applicable taxes and service fees. All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. You agree to maintain a valid payment method on file with your account.
Our refund policy is as follows: if your order has not yet been collected by our staff from the locker station, you are eligible for a full refund upon cancellation. Once cleaning has begun, refunds are not available except in cases of verified service errors — such as damaged or lost items — which will be addressed through re-cleaning at no additional cost or a service credit applied to your account. Refund and credit decisions are made at WashEra's reasonable discretion.
5. Locker Usage
Smart locker stations are provided for the temporary storage of laundry items during the drop-off and pickup process. You are responsible for retrieving your completed order from the locker within a reasonable timeframe after receiving a pickup notification. Items left in lockers for more than 7 days after notification may be donated to charity or disposed of at WashEra's discretion, and WashEra shall not be held liable for the loss of such items.
You agree not to place any hazardous materials, flammable substances, illegal items, or any items not intended for standard laundry service into the lockers. During processing, garment identification labels may be attached to your items for tracking purposes; these labels are removed upon completion of service whenever possible. By using the service, you consent to the temporary labeling of your garments for processing accuracy.
6. Limitation of Liability
WashEra exercises professional care in handling your garments, but is not liable for damage to items that are unsuitable for standard machine washing and drying methods, including but not limited to delicate fabrics, items with special care requirements not clearly indicated on care labels, or items that are already damaged or worn. It is your responsibility to remove items that require specialized cleaning before placing your laundry in the locker.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WashEra's total liability for any claim arising from or related to the service shall not exceed the value of the specific order giving rise to the claim. In no event shall WashEra be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, regardless of the cause of action or the theory of liability.
7. Modifications
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make material changes, we will provide notice through the WashEra app or via the email address associated with your account at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date of any revised terms constitutes your acceptance of those terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should discontinue use of the service and delete your account.
8. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the WashEra service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Fairfax County, Virginia, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
